1. Information Collection
The game does not require an account and does not collect names, email addresses, Meta profile information, platform identifiers, contacts, location, photos, recordings, analytics, advertising data, payment information, or gameplay telemetry.
2. Local Game Data
The game stores one JSON save file in its private application data on your device. It contains game progress such as money, detector upgrades, inventory and collection entries, active treasure sites, statistics and play time, tutorial state, comfort and control settings, audio levels, transaction records, save timestamps, and a randomly generated local save ID. The save ID is not a Meta account or platform identifier. The game may also preserve local backup or recovery copies when you start a new hunt or if a save cannot be read.
This data is used only to resume your game and retain your preferences. It is not uploaded, synchronized, or shared by the game.
3. Virtual-Reality Input
The game uses OpenXR headset and controller tracking and input to provide movement, grabbing, digging, menu interaction, and other virtual-reality gameplay. This input is processed in real time on the device and is not recorded, uploaded, or shared by the game. The game does not request eye-tracking access.
4. Network Access, Advertising, and Analytics
Gameplay does not require an Internet connection. The game does not include advertisements, in-app purchases, online leaderboards, cloud saves, accounts, third-party analytics, crash reporting, or background network activity, and it does not send information to Caffeine Studios or any third party.
5. Optional External Links
The Rate Us and More Games buttons open Meta pages only after you select them. Those pages and any information processed by Meta are governed by Meta's privacy policy and your platform settings. The game does not provide personal information to Meta when opening these links.
6. Permissions
The game requests the OpenXR capabilities needed to run as a Meta Quest virtual-reality application. The inspected Android application does not request Internet, eye-tracking, camera, microphone, storage, contacts, or location permission.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Local game data remains on your device until it is replaced through gameplay, cleared through the device's app-data controls, or removed by uninstalling the game. Because Caffeine Studios does not receive this data, there is no server-side player record for Caffeine Studios to access or delete.
8. Children's Privacy
Because the game does not collect personal information from any player, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes
If the game's data practices change, this policy will be updated before a version using those practices is released.
10. Contact
For privacy questions about Treasure Hunter: Metal Detector, contact Caffeine Studios through the support address listed on the game's official Meta Horizon store page.
